The White Carolina strawberry (aka the pineberry) is a delicious, June-bearing, and incredibly cold-hardy variety. The fruits are slightly smaller than a supermarket strawberry, but much larger than a wild-type. This hybrid uses the same species as the market strawberry (Fragaria virginiana and Fragaria chiloensis) to produce a white strawberry with more citrus/pineapple notes while still having that lovely strawberry flavor.

Care requirements:

Sun requirements: Full sun

Growing zone: 5-9

Pollination: Self-fertile, but benefits from a nearby different variety

Water: Consistent moisture without water-logging soil

Soil: Fertile, slightly acidic (6.0-7.5pH)

Size: spreads vigorously via runners

Overwintering: No care needed
